Northeastern Conference Treasury Online Remittance FAQ
Q. Will NEC Treasury have access to my church’s bank account?
A. The conference will not be able to see or access any Church’s account; they will only have the authority to receive funds you have transferred.
Q. How do I set up my church for online remittance.
A. You must have a checking account with online bill pay/transaction capability, contact your bank to set up online transactions, receive permission from the conference to submit their bank account number.
Q. Do I have to send money during regular working hours?
A. No. The Church’s treasury can remit funds during a Twenty Four period timeframe. Please note, however, that all funds submitted must be received into The Northeastern Conference’s account by the 10th of every month.
Q. Do you have to pay a fee to remit these funds?
A. No. For online transactions there is no fee, however, check with your bank regarding wire transactions.
Q. Will I get a confirmation that my payment has been received?
A. Yes. After the transaction is successfully transmitted, your bank will notify you online that funds have been transferred. We ask that you send a copy of that notification to The NEC Treasury Department as receipt of the transaction.
Q. Is this the first time that this process is being used?
A. No. Several churches within the Conference have been remitting funds online for over a year.
