On April 27, 2025 the Communications Department of the Northeastern Conference (NEC) held the NEC COMM SUMMIT.
The training session was held on ZOOM to engage and instruct church communicators to be more efficient in the areas of writing, photography and flyer design.
Lavern Sturrup, the Communications Director of the Northeastern Conference, stated, “The Communications Department of the Northeastern Conference is committed to providing training for the churches within its territory, and this is just the beginning.” She explained that the initial session covers essential communication skills that every church should have. Once these skills are acquired, we will be on our way to becoming effective communicators, which will enable us to spread the gospel throughout the world.
Another training session on the topic of Video Production is set for August 2025.
