The Public Affairs and Religious Liberty Department hosted a Holiday Brunch and planning session on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the Northeastern Conference (NEC). Almost 45 individuals braved the frigid weather to celebrate the PARL Ministry’s accomplishments throughout the year. The church PARL leaders shared reports, sang songs, prayed, dined, and fellowshipped together. They feasted on holiday food and treats.

Among the festivities, they discussed the formation of a “Know Your Rights Task Force.” Miosotis Munoz, Deputy Commissioner of Immigrant Affairs for the City of New York, attended the meeting and shared vital information that would help undocumented members. Many persons are extremely concerned about the deportation threat coming from the newly elected United States administration. The role of this task force will be to share important information regarding the rights of undocumented members. The organization of such a task force will provide the opportunity to network with numerous organizations across the country that are in support of this noble cause.
