Children on the Road to Salvation
We were blessed with the opportunity to minister to the children at Franco-Haitian Camp Meeting. Through an engaging and interactive children’s church program, the theme, “The Road to Salvation,” came to life in a memorable way.
The journey began with a walk through the Bible, as participants dressed as biblical characters—including Adam, Abraham, Noah, Moses, David, Ruth, Esther, Mary, John the Baptist, Mary Magdalene, and Jesus—and shared how each person connected to God’s plan of salvation. The children then transitioned into four interactive breakout stations: Road Closed—Sign Ahead, Jesus Saves Highway, Choose Jesus Road, and Heaven Bound Road.
Through activities such as tug-of-war, balance-beam challenges, and creative crafts, our instructors reinforced the message that following Jesus is the pathway to eternal life. The program culminated in an exciting physical run down the “Road to Salvation.” To enter the final destination, campers recited the memory text: “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).
Along the road, construction signs reminded the children of important truths: “God at Work,” “Jesus Is Always Listening,” and “Jesus Came as God Promised.” Laughter and excitement filled the air as the children ran the course while instructors joyfully covered them with paint.
At the end of the journey, campers entered a bubble tunnel where a crown of salvation was placed upon their heads—a beautiful reminder that Jesus is the way to salvation and eternal life.
A special thank-you is extended to our Franco-Haitian Coordinator Dr. Frantz D’Haiti, Franco-Hatian Federation Adventure Directors, Luce Mortimer-Lubin, Farah Jean, the CVL Security Team, Medical Cadets, instructors, and volunteers who helped to make this experience possible for the youngest campers among us.
