The Northeastern Conference Family Ministries Department hosted its Couples Retreat from September 4–6, 2026, at the Trumbull Marriott in Trumbull, Connecticut. Under the theme “Together, We Are One, Connected by Love,” couples were encouraged to intentionally invest in their relationships, experience renewal, and leave empowered.
The retreat was facilitated by Dr. Samuel and Andrea Blair, Family Ministries Directors, Northeastern Conference (NEC).
A feature of the retreat was the recommittment of couples during a vow renewal ceremony.
The retreat featured presentations by guest presenters, Drs. Trevor and Edith Fraser for English-speaking attendees, Dr. Jean Flavio Monestine for the Franco-Haitian audience, and Pastor Dennys Mercedes and Maria Elena Sanchez de Mercedes (Assistant Family Ministries Directors, NEC) who led out with the Spanish-speaking attendees. This created an enriching and inclusive experience for couples across the Conference.
