On March 15, 2025, Seventh-day Adventists around the world celebrated Global Youth Day (GYD) with the theme “ACT: A Community Transformed.” This day encourages youth and young adults to unite in faith and actively share God’s love through service and action. At the Lebanon Seventh-day Adventist Church, our youth distributed handwritten encouragement cards and motivational keychains to our neighbors, offering prayer to anyone who was willing to receive it.

As an introvert, I often find outreach activities challenging, but I always push myself to participate. Walking up to a stranger’s door fills me with anticipation, and my thoughts race: “Is anyone home? Can they see me on their cameras? Will anyone answer?” I knock or ring the doorbell and wait, hoping for a response. Sometimes, no one comes to the door, but when someone does, I get the opportunity to share Christ’s love.

At first, the homeowners often look confused, but after a warm greeting, their expressions begin to soften. I introduce myself, explain why I’m there, and share the good news I have for them. Their reactions are priceless; many are genuinely surprised and grateful. Some even ask in disbelief, “For free?” or “That’s it?” as if kindness from strangers is too good to be true. Being able to spread kindness and witness the real impact it has on our community is truly heartwarming and fulfilling. It reminds me that even small acts of love can make a big difference.
