Following an extensive search process, the Northeastern Conference Executive Committee has named Mr. Robert Chandler to serve as treasurer of the Northeastern Conference. Elder Chandler currently serves as Associate Treasurer for the South Central Conference of Seventhday Adventists, headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee. Prior to that assignment, he ser ved the New Jersey Conference for nine years as associate treasurer. He has gracefully accepted the call from Northeastern and looks forward to somewhat of a homecoming. Originally from the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Elder Chandler migrated to the United States at a young age as his family settled in Queens, NY.
In his formative years, he attended the then Springfield Gardens Church before heading off to Oakwood College and obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. Following graduation, Elder Chandler worked in corporate America for nearly three decades, mostly in the State of Texas, before entering denominational service in 2008.
He has been married to the former Rose M. Goldsborough for 22 years and the couple has seven children. We welcome Brother Chandler cordially as he serves the Northeastern Conference family in this capacity. He will officially begin his functions on January 1, 2019.
