The 56th annual Personal Ministries Convention for the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists (NEC) was held on August 30 – September 1st, 2024, at Victory Lake Camp and Conference Center, under the theme: “Do More in ’24.”
Dr. Walton Rose, Personal Ministries Director, NEC welcomed the army of passionate soul winners, who were led by their Federation President, Adrian Alvaranga.

A powerful message was provided on Sabbath by Dr. Carlton P. Byrd, the President of Southwest Region Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, who spoke to the attendees on the topic, “Go With What You Have.” Pastor Byrd referenced the story of Moses and encouraged individuals to never doubt God, learn from the past, and to never make excuses.

Almost 70 Personal Ministries individuals representing churches from across our Conference received awards for their outstanding contributions toward the advancement of God’s Kingdom on earth.

Lay persons from all walks of life are a part of the Personal Ministries of NEC. Among the presenters was a teacher from the Northeastern Adventist Academy, Boston Campus, Andrew Barrett, who shared his experiences in ministering to others.
T.Basil Sturrup, Pastor, Faith Seventh-day Adventist church presented on the subject, ‘How to Prepare for a Public Evangelistic Campaign.’ Pastor Sturrup skillfully laid out steps and strategies designed to enhance successful results for the major segments of an evangelistic campaign, namely, how to prepare the field, how to prepare for each nightly meeting, and the preparation needed to keep what you reap.
Alexandrae Lamouth, Communication Director, Shiloh Seventh-day Adventist Church presented on ‘Digital Evangelism’. Lamouth highlighted the importance of using this form of evangelism to win souls.
During the Personal Ministries Convention time was set aside for fun and fellowship and at the end of the spiritual conclave the individuals in attendance were inspired to ‘Do More for God in ‘24’.
