The Franco-Haitian Camp Meeting invariably serves as a vibrant cultural showcase, underscoring the dedication, conviction, and influence of its community. The event, held from August 9-16, 2026, attracted thousands and featured a diverse array of spirited music and resonant messages of hope for adults, youth, and children. Commencing online, the meetings culminated in a memorable in-person gathering on Saturday, August 16th at the Victory Lake Camp in Hyde Park, NY.

Dr. Eldeen King, President of the Northeastern Conference, in his address to the congregation, spoke of the social ills that threaten the normalcy of life for this community of believers.

“I know that there is a great concern in your community; and as President of the Northeastern Conference, I assure you today that your Conference stands with you. We don’t believe in injustice. We don’t believe in superiority. I do believe that all of us are valuable to God,” he declared.

As his fellow administrators stood in support, King further reassured, “Take courage, my brothers and my sisters, that we as a Conference stand with you to do all that we can to see you through this trying time. God has not forgotten you. He has his eyes on you, and everything is going to be alright.”

Dr. King commended the Franco-Haitian coordinator, Dr. Frantz D’Haiti and his predecessor, Dr. Serge Lamour for their contributions made; and recognized the Franco-Haitian pastors as committed and evangelistically driven. He commended the clergy for their contributions, citing them as ‘always willing to elevate their members weekly.’
The members were further encouraged by guest speakers Dr. Arbentz André Pierre Antoine of the Southeastern Conference (main tent) and Pastor Cherlo Cherestal of the Allegheny West Conference (youth).

A special feature at this year’s Camp Meeting was an ordination service for elders, deacons, and deaconesses from throughout the territory. It was a solemn service and a proud moment for the ordinants.
As the annual gathering ended, many attendees shared positive comments about the camp meeting.

“I love the fellowship! We get to see the members from our previous churches… and everyone fellowshipping together. I think it’s just a great gathering,” beamed Margarette Voyard.

“I am grateful for the opportunity that we have as Haitians to come together from wherever we are from..Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York. We gather together to enjoy the good news. I enjoy it!” said Carnes Augustin.

“I liked the preaching but the praise team, they were so good. Everyone had a good time with them and next year I will attend again,” said Marie Edly Tranchant Leriche.

These sentiments were echoed among attendees of all ages as they anticipate another Franco-Haitian Camp Meeting.
