On Sabbath, September 20, the New Dimension Seventh-day Adventist Church celebrated the reopening and rededication of its sanctuary with a spirit of worship and renewal. The service opened with heartfelt songs of praise and a prayerful invitation for the Holy Spirit to dwell among the congregation.
Church clerk Tanya Hanuszczak warmly welcomed members and visitors, noting that the restoration represented not only a physical transformation but also a renewal of mission and commitment. Distinguished guests included The Honorable Hakeem Jeffries, Minority Leader of the U.S House of Representatives, Dr. Nicardo Delahaye, Executive Secretary of the Northeastern Conference, and Dr. Brian McDonald, CFO of the Northeastern Conference. Greetings were also shared from the Honorable Hakeem Jeffries, who described the church as a “shelter in the time of storm.
Pastor Orville Bulgin reflected on the church’s 18-year journey, culminating in a seven-month renovation project completed debt-free. He expressed gratitude to the pioneers and key workers who brought the vision to reality, including project managers Pastor Daniel Smith and Elder Wayne Tash. A liturgical reading and a prayer of dedication, led by Dr. Delahaye, consecrated both the sanctuary and its members for ongoing ministry.
In his message, Pastor Bulgin preached under the theme “From Ruins to Glory.” He reminded the congregation that, despite past challenges, including a leaking roof and cracked tiles, God’s glory always surpasses former splendor. “Ruins are not the end of your story,” he declared, pointing to Christ as the true glory of the church.
The highlight of the day came with the baptism of four individuals, a powerful testament to the church’s enduring mission. Leaders emphasized the significance of beginning this new chapter with lives committed to Christ.
The service concluded with a fellowship meal and the launch of the Youth Week of Prayer, signaling a fresh season of ministry at New Dimension SDA Church.
