Connections Strengthened Through Ministry to College and University Students

The Northeastern Conference Adventist Youth & Young Adult Ministries (AYM) has launched a series of college and university visits to connect with young adults, encourage spiritual growth, and strengthen campus ministry.

Led by Jonathan Coicou, Associate Youth & Young Adult Ministries Director and Campus Ministries Coordinator, Northeastern Conference, the initiative began on February 8, 2026, at the University at Albany with a time of fellowship, conversation, and Bible study—setting the stage for ongoing support of Adventist presence on campuses.

Our Adventist Youth Ministries remains dedicated to nurturing faith and building community among young adults in higher education.

The journey continued with vibrant gatherings at Cornell University, Syracuse, and New York University. Students connected for fellowship, spiritual encouragement, and honest conversations about balancing faith and academics. Special highlights included a potluck in Syracuse with peers from SUNY Upstate Medical University and Utica University, and a collaborative meeting at NYU that united young adults from Columbia, Rutgers, and Princeton.

Each visit focused on opening God’s Word and building community, while supporting the growth of Adventist Christian Fellowship groups. These events are a powerful reminder that our campuses are thriving mission fields where faith, leadership, and friendship flourish.

Stay tuned for more updates as these visits continue throughout our territory.
